It can be very funny at times when your reflex makes it a habit to scream silently when greeting someone far from you. You might find yourself in the act unconsciously and later laugh at yourself because it is sometimes dramatically naughty.
What is silent screaming?
You see someone in a lengthy distance away from you, waving at you with much obvious love, you then wave back vigorously moving your lips and lower jaw as if you are screaming back your greetings to the person, meanwhile you are saying nothing.
It might be funny, but it is also a way of hypocrisy. Why not simply wave back since you know the person can’t hear your voice from such distance?
How many silent screaming are going on in your spiritual life now? You appear to all brethren to be up and doing in the house of God, you might even be the one giving the word of admonition, but how true did you rely on the God you speak about in your daily life? Do you still pray before eating that junk? Did you strongly attach you faith to that work you are doing in His vineyard? I hope you are not screaming silently.
You can only admire what you see in the mirror. You can’t have it; it is difficult to be blessed of God while you serve him in pretence.
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:” (James; 1:22-23)
